I usually tell stories with words but you know what they say…a picture is worth a crap-ton of words…or something like that. So here is our week in pictures. Thank you for following along!
Here’s my week in pictures, in totally random order, just because.
What do you do when it’s a raining on a Sunday morning and you’re out of milk and eggs and bread? Load up your family in the Mazda Grand Touring FWD and go out for breakfast, of course!
Saturday night was date night. We went to the grand opening of the 1908 Wine Bar and Ale House. There was music. There was wine (duh.) There was cheese. Amazing place I’m excited to have as a neighbor in lovely Cibolo.
Kyle turned 7 (eek – can you believe????) on March 10th. He is here with his martial arts instructor, Mr. Meyers, cutting the birthday cake with a sword. Martial arts have been an amazing thing for our boys. Besides…how cool is it to cut your cake with a sword???

“Come to me my sweetie.” Said my son to his bacon. In case you were wondering what parenting done right looks like.We LOVED driving the Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring FWD this week. Plenty of room in the back for groceries and the assorted stuff families carry around. It’s an AWESOME family car – very comfy and roomy in the back. Plenty of room for two booster seats. My boys LOVED the sunroof!I think the highlight of our week was getting Zack’s robot hand. It’s opened up a lot of doors for him. He can eat and apple and scratch his nose. Who knew that was such a big deal????Pure joy…and my husband’s hands. I’ve always loved his hands.
Grocery shopping is…well, it’s something that has to be done. The Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring FWD has a ton of room in the bag for all the groceries. My Kyle turned SEVEN this week. I can hardly believe it.
I had a read-through with this incredibly talented bunch at Commonwealth Coffee. Listen to Your Mother has brought so many amazing people into my life!
My favorite person, ever. Enjoying a little downtime.
Zack and his 3D printed “robot hand.” Incredibly cool, right?
Love that we had the Mazda CX-9 FWD Grand Touring to use for the week. It really is the perfect family car!
I’m ready to go get my robot hand, mom!
MIGAS. If you don’t know what they are – figure it out. And then get some. ASAP.
This went viral this week. Who knew so many people loved Reese’s eggs as much as I do? If you would like to share this please click the image and it will take you (magically) to Facebook and you can share, share, share with all your friends.
This is La Cabana, the BEST Mexican place in Cibolo, Texas. They have amazing lunches and dinners but we’ve recently discovered they’re a great place to go for breakstast…see also we forgot to buy eggs and milk and bread. They have Migas – which is a win for THIS GIRL – and the absolute fluffiest pancakes. YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM.Oh, hiiii. I have an empty backseat. I’m off to my first rehearsal of Listen to Your Mother: San Antonio. Early bird tickets are $12 until March 15th. Come see us!!!Zack and Justin Cantu, the 10th grade student who made Z’s “robot hand.” I’m so in awe. When your lipstick matches your car… We LOVED driving the Mazda CX-9 FWD Grand Touring. We still would have loved it even if it weren’t this lovely shade of red…but OMG – RED.
Thank you for reading! If you’d like to see more, my family posts 1-2 pics each day on Instagram.

When I was twenty, I didn’t spend much time thinking about what it would be like to be…well…old.  My forties and fifties seemed like they were a looooong way off…mostly because they were. If I’d have stopped to think about what midlife would look like, I’d probably imagine myself wearing polyester stretch pants, pantyhose with reinforced toes and…

Ever heard the saying “fake it ’till you make it?” Sure you have but is that supposed to apply to baking? Would that be “fake it ’till you bake it” or “fake it don’t bake it?” How about salted caramel pretzel turtles? Sounds pretty awesome, right? They are. [Tweet “Make these easy salted caramel pretzel…

I love a good old-fashioned movie date night. My husband, Lee, and I used to go to the movies together all the time when we were dating but since marriage, kids, and all that, we don’t have our movie dates as often as we used to. We do more movie outings as a family or…
This is my first visit and not my last. Love your blog. You had me at “wearing yesterdays mascara”
Awesome idea of cutting the cake with a sword!
