Disney’s Christopher Robin hit theaters in August 2018 and remains one of the CUTEST movies of that year in my book. I got to attend the red carpet premier in Los Angeles and the behind-the-scenes awesomeness are such great memories for me. That’s why I created this “Hunny” Snack Mix as a fun way to celebrate all of our friends from the Hundred Acre Wood.
Now that Disney+ is here, don’t you need a fun snack to enjoy with your favorite movies and shows? The answer is YES. You do.
I know Pooh usually enjoys his Hunny straight up but I think he’d approve of this, don’t you?

Ingredients:
4 cups honeycomb cereal
3 cups pretzels
3/4 cup whole almonds
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
2 tablespoons honey
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 and line a baking sheet with foil. Spray with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
In a large bowl, add cereal, pretzels and almonds and mix well. Set aside,
In a small saucepan, add brown sugar, corn syrup and honey. Mix well and heat over medium low heat, stirring constantly until sugar is melted. Watch this doesn’t boil too much, if it does, turn down the heat and continue to stir. Once all sugar is dissolved, pour over cereal and pretzel mix. Mix well to evenly coat.
Tiggers might not like honey, but we sure do!
Pour into prepared baking sheet and spread as evenly as possible.
Bake for 15 minutes. Let cool completely before breaking apart and enjoying snack mix. Pooh would approve, don’t you think?
Makes 8 cups
The BEST part of this snack mix is the way the baked-on honey clings to the crunchy-ness.
I think the almonds really make this awesome, plus, they add a bit of protein. If you’re looking for a nut-free option, you could omit the almonds and add 3/4 cup of another ingredient…either extra pretzels or cereal or something else entirely, like raisins or sesame snack mix. My kids go to a nut free school so in order for us to make this a lunchbox option, we have to leave out the almonds.
You can easily omit the almonds or substitute something else for them.
If you’ve found this helpful, please don’t keep it to yourself ;-)! Please share on Facebook or Pin and save for later! Thank you!

Disney movies are a wonderful, magical thing. Some fall into the category of “my movies” – the classics I grew up with. Others fall into the category of my daughter’s movies and still others, my sons’. There’s an 18 year age gap between my daughter and my sons, so there was a period of time…
If you’ve been waiting for the release of Disney’s Christopher Robin (and really, who hasn’t been?) your wait is OVER! I first learned of this movie in February when executive producer Kristen Burr introduced it to a group of bloggers at Disney Social Media Moms Celebration in Orlando. I’ve seen the full movie twice and…
Up until our most recent visit to Walt Disney World, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been the park we’ve spent the least amount of time in. We’ve either skipped it entirely or scooted by near the end of our visit as an afterthought. With the new opening of Toy Story Land, Hollywood Studios has become THE…
The “Year of the Pig” is almost upon us and we’re celebrating with some Chinese New Year Coloring Pages over here. Chinese New Year (often referred to as Lunar New Year) begins on January February 5th. Two of my kids are adopted from China so celebrating Chinese New Year is a thing for us. It’s…
Thinks Valentine’s Day is a mushy-mushy lovey-dovey holiday to spend doing romantic things with your spouse, partner, or a hot date? Yes, but there’s more to it than that. Valentine’s Day for families is a thing. I think Valentine’s Day is fun but I get why people might not love celebrating. Too much pressure. No special…
